Payment Security

How payments are requested, verified and refunded, and what we never treat as proof of payment.

Awaiting qualified legal review

This legal document is stored as an editable draft and has not been signed off by qualified legal counsel. It must be reviewed for your contracting entities and customer jurisdictions before you rely on it in production.

Contracting entity: the seller named on your invoice. Where an order is placed with a different MOTORS EU entity, that entity is named on the invoice and in the order confirmation.

Bank transfer

Every order receives a unique payment reference and the receiving account details. A payment is recorded as pending until a finance officer confirms the funds have cleared. Uploading a transfer receipt moves the payment to review; it is never treated as proof that funds arrived.

Card and wallet payments

Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay require a connected payment provider. Until a provider is connected and tested, those methods are shown as unavailable rather than simulated. When connected, payments are confirmed through signed provider events with idempotency controls, and no card details are stored in this application.

Refunds

Refunds require the refund permission, a reason code and approval. A credit note is issued to your account and, where the original payment came through a provider, the refund is recorded against that provider.
